It's Saturday, it's nice out, and I haven't a thought in my head. So naturally, my thoughts turned to comics.

I am a middle-aged suburban housewife with four kids and a husband, two dogs and a cat who has trouble figuring out what the litter box is for. I probably have waaaay too much time on my hands. Actually, in updating this, the cat is gone, and most of the kids have moved out, but we still have all of their stuff, so it is a good thing that we have a big house. Also, I have become a Grandmother!

I miss my Alan so much, but not the baggage he left behind. I would like the new Earth-2 Alan if he wasn't a Swamp Thing rip-off and actually had more stories instead of getting pushed to the background by the next Batman legacy of the week. Plus they killed his boyfriend who is a dead ringer for an Asian Kyle Rayner. Why?
Why can't we have a main Earth reboot version of Alan whose Hal's age, gay and goes by another alias? And something creative this time instead of Sentinel? I don't know, but DC sure likes to divvy up its trademarks in alternate dimensional ghettos. Looks like they're rectifying that by having a new Dr. Fate at least and it's not such a loss since Earth-2 won't even use Kent Nelson either as their own.
Sorry to be a downer, I'm happy to see Alan get hit in the head, just mad no new stories will be told of him ever again after Convergence until they have another multiverse, everything you know will change and not for the better event.
This is one of the things about DC that is so frustrating to me. They have all these wonderful characters... and then they don't DO anything with them!
