Wither Ted?
So...my greatest fear, next to Guy getting killed off in Blackest Night, is Ted Kord coming back as a Black Lantern. I thought that Geoff Johns had assured us that Ted was actually ALIVE! I've been trying to keep believing in it, but rumors keep persisting.
If Ted Kord DID come back as a Black Lantern, I would have to say that the heroes of the world would be in for a world of trouble. Remember all the havoc that he and Booster managed to cause when they were alive and GOOD? The concept of an Evil Ted is...terrifying.
Here's a small example of what Ted could do when he wasn't in his right mind. This is from the old JLI, when Ted was being mind-controlled by that mean old Queen from Bialya into doing her wicked biding. He's actually beating up Amanda Waller. Amanda Waller! She intimidates Batman, for God's sake! And this is with no super powers whatsoever.
Be afraid Booster. Be very very afraid.

Did you see the cover for 27? Teds' grin by it's self is scary. I have three theories on what happened.
1.) Katz and Johns made it clear they wanted the figure to be Ted. Jurgens said that his art originally made this clearer but he was told to change it. Editorial mandate to keep Ted dead?
2.) If Ted did die then he'll return with the rumored "rebirth" of dead heroes after BN though this does not address him being alive in BG.
3.) Black Lantern Ted Kord is a mislead and is actually a particular Black Lantern posing as Ted to get an emotional reaction from Booster. This will lead to Booster wondering why the real Ted isn't haunting him.
Considering how the Hawks and some of the "Aquapeople" have become Black Lanterns, it's also entirely possible that Ted will run into a Black Lantern (ooooooooh, perhaps, I dunno, MAX LORD?), get killed, and then (of course) immediately go after Booster.
All I really want is Ted and Booster back together and happy...is that too much to ask?
And Aquaman, and J'onn, and Max, and Ralph, and Sue and Dmitri, and hell, even the Hawkpeople.
