Not a Thing in My Head
I cannot come up with a single witty nor scintillating thing to say today. Heck, I can't even think of anything dull and boring to say. So instead, I'm going to show you what I did yesturday afternoon, when I finished reading Millenium as an antidote for Secret Invasion. I can't say that I was impressed by the MacFarlane or Sears artwork, but it's not a terrible story.
So I made my own stuff.
Thank goodness for computer paper. I just rough it out in pencil, then ink, and finally color it using a whole lot of felt pens. The inking should probably be heavier, it looks a little different scanned than what it does on paper, and the colors came out a little lighter as well. Still...I'm reasonably pleased with it.
Too bad Hal's not getting hit in the head.

Beautiful! I love Guy's pretty wind-blown hair. And Hal's hair is always pretty. You've got a way with colors, too.
It makes me wonder what they're talking about, though. Guy's got that "I'm teasing you" look all over his face, but it appears to be a friendly sort of teasing. I wish we got to see more of just the two of them together like this now that they're good friends and all.
Amazin' work, Sally!
good work sally, in french we say "avoir plusieurs corde à son arc"> have several stings to your bow, don't know if the expression exists in english but you've got many gifts.
I remember the drawing you've made with the Gl playing hockey I loved this one so much!
That's really good! You draw much better than I do. The expression on Guy's face is so tender. Is he talking about Ice right then?
Ummmm...I think that they're probably insulting each other...as usual.
I'm not really that happy with the way that the colors reproduced on the scanner, I had a really cool glowing green aura around them, that didn't come out that well.
Oh well.
Wow, Sally, that's really good. They look like they could fly out of the monitor!
WOW! Great work! I must not read faithfully enough, I had no idea you were an artist!! That's awesome.
In my twisted mind: Guy is propositioning Hal, and Hal is worried that someone might hear.
But that's just me!
Well colour me impressed!
Tony: It's not just you. I have also inserted my own slashy subtext.
I always did like your artwork, Sally. :-)
It's REALLY obvious from this that you really love Guy. You do a great job with depicting his facial features, in particular.
I absolutely agree with Sea, Sally. Guy's facial features are a big part of the character for me, and your attention to their little details is very evident.
Egads, that's beautiful
I'd like to devote some attention to Hal's facial features, but he always wears the mask.
Stupid mask!
"Too bad Hal's not getting hit in the head."
I prefer to assume that there's a falling lamp, ceiling tile, baseball, model plane, or meteor JUST off panel.
Nice work, regardless.
Damn! That's really awesome work! I especially love the attention to detail on the hair.
Me, I can't draw for beans, except for stick figures.
Nice! And Hal can always get hit in the head next time.
Wow Sally! That's a damn fine piece of art. Guy's face is prolly the best part I think. It's pretty expressive.
I can only think of one thing wrong with it: Neither one is showing their butt! :D
(Incidentally, my confirmation word was "grogan", which should definitely be a new Green Lantern badguy.)
