What The Heck

It's a gloomy and slightly soggy Saturday, and I haven't a thought in my head.

So, in honor of Power Girl, here is Amanda Conner.

Photobucket

I am awfully glad that she is back.  A bit.  Kind of.  But man, I do miss her old costume.  Amanda gave her the most fabulous pair of boots ever.

I will take Power Girl in a slightly naff costume over no Power Girl at all, any day of the week.

I am so glad she's back. :)

Maybe someone could commission Amanda drawing the new costume? I gotta admit I like Mister Levitz's characterization of Karen more than Amanda's husband's and about equal to Winick's...

BTW, my secret code was 'boaddi etiesi'. Sounds like a UN official, no?

The Power Girl of Palmiotti/Connor was amazing.
I've got a question for you. You started reading GL long before I did. This in my question then: were the guardians always dicks?

I just love Amanda soooo much. And yes, any Power Girl is better than none.

Believe it or not, the Guardians were NOT always dicks. They may have occasionally been a bit arrogant, and missing the smaller details, but they managed for millions of years to do pretty well all things considered. They also didn't act like complete morons, and seemed to actually LIKE their Green Lantern Corps.

They certainly put up with all kinds of crap from Hal, who, let's face it, is a complete prima donna. They put up with crap from Guy. Heck, they even burst into hysterical laughter when Guy proposed that they give a ring to G'Nort...and THEN DID IT!

I used to be rather fond of the little blue munchkins. Lately...not so much.

But I thought that Peej was always from earth II?

Yep, PG was always from Earth-2 but I think what the other poster was getting at was that she was never actually Supergirl there; Worlds' Finest is the first time she's been shown as Supergirl on E-2.

Still, like I said, any PG's better than no PG!
