Raining on My Parade
Drat. It is the Hartford St. Patrick's Day parade today, and we were supposed to march in it...the first parade of the season for the Warehouse Point Ancient Fife & Drum Corps. Rain and high winds were forecast, and all the drummers got sick, so we had to cancel.
*sigh*
Now we have to wait till the Holyoke parade.
But now I can sit in the comfort of my family room and sneer at the coverage on television, so it's not a complete washout.

Sorry the weather rained you out. It isn't raining here in the Ozarks, but it is cloudy and windy.
What is Holyoke parade celebrating? Google tells me Holyoke is a town, so is it the anniversary of town's founding, or for homecoming, or Memorial Day?
Calvin, it's just about the biggest St. Paddy's Day parade in the country! But that's not until NEXT week. Trust me, it is a doozy.
Hope the weather will be nice and no time and you can celebrate St. Patricks day as it is meant to be celebrated.
I guess it is kinda hard to blow on a fife when you have a cold, huh?
It's been raining here, too. Last week started off GORGEOUS, but for the last few days all we've had is rain, rain ... Still better than snow, though.
ANYthing beats snow! Well, except tornados I suppose.
