Where's a Superhero when you Need one?
So. I go traipsing off to my beloved Comical Book store as usual, and much to my dismay, am greeted by the news that it was ROBBED last night! The effrontery of it! The sheer audacity! The outrage! They broke in through a small obscure window in the back, and unfortunately, in doing so, knocked over a tall bookcase, which fell against another bookcase, and in a domino effect, a bunch of them were broken to pieces. They took the small amount of cash in the drawer, and some games, and that was it, apart from accidentally wrecking the place, so I guess it could have been a whole lot worse. They didn't take any books, nor action figures, or even some of the very expensive statues and things lying around. Did make a mess though.
The window is now gone, bricked up with cinderblocks. The bookcases are rebuilt, and things look pretty much back to normal, but Matt is still shook up a bit. Hell, I'M shook up a bit! I LOVE my comic book store!
I'm making Matt cookies.

wankers. hope it all gets sorted out and back to normal soon.
Cookies? Aw, that's sweet :-)
...Sure you're not trying to get a discount in the future? ;-)
Is nothing sacred?!!
Wankers indeed. All things considered, it turned out a heck of a lot better than it could have, because he's got a LOT of very expensive books and statues and figures, not to mention baseball cards and memorabilia there. So whomever broke in didn't really have a clue.
Which just confirms my opinion that most criminals are idiots.
Mac, there's a REASON Matt saves me the good covers and stuff, and cookies and fudge are definitly a part of that.
Heh.
