A Major Bad Guy
Of all of Guy's enemies, I think that one of my favorites has to be Major Force. He's such a tool! And he has this strange obsession with kitchen appliances, that you must admit is a bit out of the ordinary.
He stuffed poor Alex into a refridgerator, and made Kyle sad...not to mention giving all of us such a wonderful way to refer to the abysmal treatment of women characters in comics. He fridged Guy's Mother's neighbor, and not content with that, he stuffed his Mom's cat into the freezer. Knowing Peggy Louise Gardner, I'm sure that it was the latter that made her more upset. He ripped Guy's heart right out of his chest! Fortunately for Guy, he had a spare.
He's had his head pinched off, been booted into space and various other indignities suffered upon his person, and yet, like the Energizer Bunny, he keeps coming back for more. I haven't seen Major Force in quite a while, so I'm not sure if he IS alive, but I assume that he is. He'd make one hell of a Black Lantern, that's for sure.

well, he's shown in Blackest Night as being kept in the JLA crypts. But I just checked wikipedia and someone noted that he was alive in the recent JSA vs various villains battle (somehow with Polaris being such an ass and Eclipso being such a coward, as well as the lesser characters such as Tapeworm, I forgot about Major Force, even though he is shown on one of the covers.
But someone seems to have an explanation (that I actually tend to doubt):
"Note: It is possible this story takes place before Blackest Night #1 and, by its conclusion, will show us how Major Force dies his final death."
Me, I just think Willingham and Sturges hadn't read the recent material and included Major Force. and his death isn't truly specified anywhere apart from BN so the editors didn't care about it.
He seems to have been pretty much forgotten, which is a shame, since he's so unremittingly rotten.
his appearances in the Superman/Batman: Public Enemies arc and movie were pretty good. showed him as the psychopathic killer that he so unabashedly is. I do miss Captain Atom, though, as he has made very few appearances since he was un-Monarched... and I don't count the new backup feature.
The jerk killed Mace, too, remember. Though personally I don't think that Mace was any better of a person than he was. So between killing Alex, trying to kill Peggy, and actually killing Mace, why is Major Force never treated like a potential Green Lantern villain? Maybe he ought to go fridge Cowgirl! I wouldn't be too sad if he did.
And Guy has killed this guy twice. The first time, it was a big deal because it was supposed to prove that Guy was different from other heroes because he was willing to go that far when circumstances warranted it. And interestly, even though Kyle chose not to kill Force, he also very pointedly said that he didn't really have too much of a problem with Guy doing so. If Hal had been there instead of Kyle, you know he would have thrown an everloving fit.
Hal's a big baby.
